A glimpse of what comes next. The Kia Concept PV7 previews the larger sibling to the PV5 — a full-size purpose-built electric vehicle designed around the idea that a van doesn’t need to look, feel or function like a van. Longer, taller and more spacious than the PV5, the PV7 signals Kia’s ambition to reimagine what a large commercial electric vehicle can be.
The PV7 sits above the PV5 in Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle family — a three-model line-up that also includes the compact PV1. Designed for larger cargo volumes, higher passenger capacity and greater versatility, the PV7 concept demonstrates how the E-GMP.S modular architecture scales to a larger vehicle without compromise.
As a concept, the PV7 has not yet entered production specification. Kia has confirmed it forms part of the future PBV roadmap, with the PV5 serving as the foundation for the entire family. Specific powertrain details, battery options and UK launch timing are yet to be announced.
The PV7 will follow the same design principles as the PV5 — born-electric architecture, flat-floor modularity, Android Automotive infotainment and Kia’s Flexible Body System enabling multiple variants from a single platform.

The PV7 applies the same E-GMP.S skateboard architecture as the PV5 at a larger scale. The Flexible Body System allows multiple body variants to be built on a single electric platform — from high-roof cargo to multi-configuration passenger transport.
Unlike converted diesel-based competitors, the PV7 is designed from day one as a pure electric vehicle. No diesel tunnel. No weight penalty from conversion. The flat floor maximises usable interior volume while keeping the centre of gravity low.
The PV7 builds on the PV5’s connectivity platform, with enhanced fleet management integration, OTA updates and real-time operational data to reduce total cost of ownership for large operators.
In passenger configuration, the PV7 is designed to challenge the conventional minibus segment — with a wider, taller cabin, greater glass area and seating flexibility that reflects how people actually want to travel.
The larger platform opens up cargo volumes and payloads not achievable in the PV5 class, making the PV7 a candidate for last-mile logistics and refrigerated transport at a scale previously reserved for diesel-only vehicles.
The PV7 completes the upper tier of Kia’s three-vehicle PBV family alongside the PV1 (compact urban) and PV5 (mid-size). Kia intends the ecosystem to cover every commercial transport need with purpose-built electric solutions.
