More than 35 years of pure driving pleasure — refined, but never diluted. The Mazda MX-5 Roadster is the world's best-selling two-seat sports car, combining a lightweight rear-wheel drive chassis, naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G engines and an iconic soft-top roof that drops in seconds. This is driving as it was always meant to be.
The MX-5 is available with two naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G petrol engines. The free-revving 1.5-litre unit produces 132ps — featherlight and perfectly matched to the car's 1,000kg kerb weight. The 2.0-litre produces 184ps for those who want a sharper edge.
Both engines drive the rear wheels through a crisp six-speed manual gearbox — no automatics, no shortcuts. A Kinematic Posture Control system subtly applies the inside rear brake mid-corner to reduce body roll and sharpen turn-in, making every bend feel effortlessly precise.
2.0-litre models also feature a new Asymmetric Limited Slip Differential, Bilstein dampers and a front strut brace as standard — plus a DSC track mode for those who want to explore the chassis on circuit.

Seven exterior finishes — including the new Aero Grey exclusive to the updated MX-5.
Three grades, two engine options. Every MX-5 is a driver's car — the grades simply let you choose how far you want to go.

Detects vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists ahead and prepares the braking system to reduce collision severity — active at city speeds where accidents are most common.
Radar-based system monitors the adjacent lanes and alerts you when a vehicle enters your blind spot, with an additional warning when indicating to change lanes.
When reversing, alerts you to vehicles approaching from either side — particularly useful in car parks and tight spaces where visibility is limited.
Monitors the road markings and alerts the driver with a visual and audible warning if the car begins to drift from its lane without signalling.
Continuously monitors vehicle dynamics and intervenes to maintain stability and control. Exclusive-Line and Homura models add a Track Mode for a later, less intrusive intervention threshold.
Mazda's unique handling enhancement applies a small braking force to the inner rear wheel during cornering to reduce body roll and sharpen the MX-5's trademark handling balance.
