The Mazda3 is one of the most beautifully designed, generously equipped and rewarding hatchbacks available today. Sculpted in Mazda's Kodo philosophy, its flowing bodywork conceals a technically advanced platform featuring the world's first production petrol engine with Spark Controlled Compression Ignition — delivering the economy of a diesel with the character of a petrol. Five grades, two engine families, and one of the sharpest-looking hatches in the class.
The Mazda3 hatchback is available with two advanced Mazda M Hybrid mild-hybrid petrol engines. The entry-point 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G delivers 140ps and a strong 238Nm of torque from just 3,300rpm — 18ps more than the outgoing engine, with cylinder deactivation for real-world efficiency gains.
At the top of the range sits the 186ps e-Skyactiv X — the world's first production petrol engine with Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI). By seamlessly switching between spark ignition and compression ignition, it delivers up to 50.4mpg and just 126g/km CO2, combining diesel-like efficiency with the engagement of a naturally aspirated petrol unit.
Both engines feature Mazda M Hybrid 24v mild-hybrid technology as standard, with G-Vectoring Control Plus enhancing both cornering stability and comfort on every journey.
Ten exterior finishes available on the Mazda3 Hatchback — including Mazda’s signature Soul Red Crystal.

Euro NCAP Rating
Uses radar and camera technology to detect vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists ahead, autonomously applying the brakes at low speed to help avoid or reduce the severity of a frontal collision.
Standard across all grades, this system maintains a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead by automatically adjusting speed — reducing driver fatigue on longer motorway journeys.
Detects lane markings and actively steers to keep the Mazda3 centred in its lane. Works with Lane Departure Warning to provide both correction and alert if the car drifts without indicating.
Radar monitors the blind spots on both sides of the car, alerting you via illuminated door mirror indicators when a vehicle is alongside — with enhanced warnings when you signal to change lanes.
Continuously analyses driving behaviour to detect early signs of fatigue and inattention. Alerts the driver with a visual and audible warning before concentration lapses become dangerous.
Projects key driving information — including vehicle speed, navigation directions and traffic sign recognition data — onto the windscreen, keeping your eyes on the road at all times.
