Powertrain
The new Sportage is available with three powertrain options to suit every driver. The 147ps 1.6 T-GDi petrol is the sharpest, most driver-focused choice. The 235ps 1.6 T-GDi Hybrid adds self-charging efficiency with no plug-in required. And the 283ps 1.6 T-GDi Plug-in Hybrid delivers up to 40 miles of zero-emission electric range.
All Sportage engines are turbocharged, front-wheel drive as standard, with available AWD on Hybrid and PHEV variants. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic is standard on Hybrid and PHEV, while the petrol offers a six-speed manual on entry grades.
Every Sportage comes with Kia’s class-leading 7-year, 100,000-mile warranty as standard.

Every new Sportage is equipped with a comprehensive suite of i-Activsense driver assistance technologies as standard, contributing to its Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating.

Radar and camera systems detect vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists ahead. The system issues a warning and can apply the brakes autonomously to help prevent or reduce the severity of a collision.
Maintains a set speed and following distance from the vehicle ahead, adjusting automatically in traffic. Stop & Go functionality brings the Sportage to a complete stop and resumes motion in congested conditions.
Monitors lane markings and actively steers to keep the Sportage centred. Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver if the car begins to drift without indicating a lane change.
Radar monitors both rear blind spots and illuminates a warning in the relevant door mirror when a vehicle is detected. Rear Cross Traffic Alert provides additional protection when reversing.
Monitors steering inputs and driving patterns to detect driver fatigue or inattention, alerting the driver with visual and audible warnings before concentration lapses become dangerous.
Available from GT-Line, this system stitches four cameras into a seamless overhead view of the vehicle, making low-speed manoeuvring and tight parking straightforward and stress-free.
